Following are the PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: (MAJOR END RESULTS FOR WHICH JOB IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE) for this Software QA Technician job in Rochester, NY:
• Execute system level test cases following written procedures.
• Perform stress/load testing, performance testing and ad hoc user testing of system.
• Report software problems using incident tracking system.
• Compile and report test completion status.
• Update test procedures.
• Participate in creation and design of test cases based on requirements specifications.
• Execution of automated test cases.
• Performs other related duties as required.
 
Following are the requirements for this Software QA Technician job in Rochester, NY:
• Orientation toward detail, thoroughness, aptitude to quick learning, flexibility.
• Experience with Agile Methodology
• Experience with Windows environment and standard Microsoft Office applications, Word and Excel.
• Experience writing and executing test procedures.
• Desired experience with an automated test tool, preference to AutoIt.
• Technical writing skills to support documentation of software problems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Good team skills required.
• Understanding of software testing methods and strategies.
• Willingness to support flexible work schedule (occasional overtime).
• Able to work independently.
